What are they struggling with right now? Empathize, present yourself as the solution, and call your reader to action. (This is exactly how my sales posts, emails, and pages are structured.)

Share a tip / hack / tutorial, but get down to the nittiest gritty.

A nutritionist can write a post that educates her audience on “how to eat healthy” and that’s all well and good — but it’s very broad. She can pull it in to “the best shake for before your workout” and that’s already much better. But she can pull it in even more to “how to get spinach into your diet without knowing it” and THAT’S where the gold is. Think of your topic, narrow it down, narrow it down some more, and when you’re starting to think it’s too silly that’s when you’ve nailed it.

Remember, your readers are not on the same level as you so you gotta take it wayyyy back to the basics!
